Critica do Livro

Hello readers!
Gabriel Emerson is a brilliant and enigmatic professor of Dante studies at the University of Toronto. His cold, aloof exterior masks dark secrets he successfully hides, though he has never overcome them. A lovely, intelligent graduate student in his seminar triggers a dim memory - one he cannot place, but which is key to the happiness he long thought was impossible.
Julianne Mitchell is a compassionate, kind young woman still struggling to overcome a childhood of neglect and abuse. When she enrolls at the University of Toronto, she knows she will see someone from her past - a man she met once, in an encounter she has never forgotten. Gabriel cannot recall what Julia knows: that they have a shared history rooted in an important moment in their lives.
The story unfolds around the electrifying connection between Gabriel and Julia and their increasingly passionate affair. Gabriel sees her unconditional love as his path to salvation even as he acknowledges his selfishness in doing so. Julia struggles with her own self-worth as she grows to trust Gabriel's feelings for her. Determined to capture the happiness that eluded them when they parted years ago, they must defy their own painful pasts as well as obstacles which now conspire to keep them apart.

Book Review

I had read it before, but I decided to reread it so I could give a review.

So here's what this book got me upset about, it had everything to be interesting and groundbreaking, and in the end, it manages to copy many passages from the book Fifty Shades of Gray. I will not spoil it, it will not be the case, but this book is so cringing to the point that I have to stop to rethink the reading. I read it to the end, and I can say that in general, it is not a bad book, but the author could have taken advantage of the main theme of the book, which in this case is Beatriz and Dante, and have taken another turn.

The author's writing itself is not the best, and perhaps this is the main reason why I have not enjoyed the book so much. But I was curious to know what will happen in the series that will be adapted briefly and will be on Passionflix.

Other passages that have left me thinking.

The teacher and Julia had a moment when she was a teenager and when she shows up in his classes, he does not have any reaction to her, but after 1/2 weeks, not to say days, she becomes the great love of his life. Does not make sense to me. And he adores her to the point of weakening the character who is Julia, independent, and leaves her looking like a defenseless girl who needs constant affection. The author tries show that in the book Julia has a tragic secret that will change his view of her, and when she ends up telling me I did not think it was a great event to leave so much expectation.

I hope the following books will arouse more interest.

Here's the playlist for some of the songs that are in the book:
